What are you waiting for? by Michelle

by YinWayKyal | 1/20/2008 07:54:00 PM in | comments (0)

This poem is more like an inspiration poem for me. I like it. The poem can somehow give me the courage.

Sometimes I get that overwhelming feeling.
Like everything has to be right.
to much, I can't put up a fight.
So you wanna change the world?
What are you waiting for?
Don't just walk out the door.
Say something give a little more.
Don't just quit.
What you've said isn't it.
Say you'll start now.
You what you want but how?
Try to change someone's mind.
Your light hasn't yet shined.
Do what you believe.
You have so much to achieve.
Say what you know.
Don't be afraid to show, who you are inside.
I can't say I lied.
Pick your courage off the floor,
What are you waiting for?

Clouds by Sok

Clouds are flowing by right infront of my eyes.
I sit here in class, daydreaming about where they go.
I think to myself how it is to be a cloud.
It just floats right by, right infront of my eyes.
To be a cloud means freedom.
It means to be able to float through life, be able to just float right by.
I wish I was a cloud.
I would do anything to just float through life without anyone caring and worrying about me.
I would be able to float infront of people and they will be watching me, just like people that are sitting in class, infront of a window, watching, just wathcing a cloud float by, just like I am doing now.
I'm just sitting in class, just sitting infront of a window, wathcing, just watching as a cloud just floats by, infront my eyes.

Simply Nice by Steve Robertson

I just wanted to say something nice
Something happy
Something warm
Something that will make you smile
Because I love to see your smile

Your smile
Is like a ray of sun
Bursting through a cloudy day Or a drenching rain
Falling upon parched land
Or like seeing the first bud of spring
After many snow bound days

I just wanted
To say something nice
Because your smile
Always
Brightens my day

What Poetry Is

by YinWayKyal | 1/17/2008 01:25:00 PM in | comments (0)

Poetry is giving Life the foundation to
Sustain it's self, to give Life the water for
Growth.

Poetry is showing Life all of what the World is like,
to show Life how to
Survive.

Poetry is explaining to Life that
the Smallest details make all the difference,
To explain to Life, Life isn't Life without
Living.

Poetry then tells Life to Live.

I hold onto life

by YinWayKyal | 1/17/2008 01:20:00 PM in , | comments (0)

I hold onto life
Waiting for a better tomorrow

I hold on to life
Despites its constant sorrows

I hold onto life
For I know I am free to go
Once to it, I return what I borrow

Life is nice when it flows
Life is priceless in life itself

In its hardship I strive
Enjoying the pleasurables

For in life, hope is always near and fresh
For dust to dust is the human flesh
Life never gives more or less
The meaning itself is forever pointless
But I still hold onto life like you!

New Life by Paul Bodet

by YinWayKyal | 1/14/2008 01:36:00 PM in | comments (0)

I've been sitting around this life for years,
Not enough laughs and too many tears.
Trying to figure out where it all went,
These wasted years that I have spent.

Searching for something to go beyond,
Life's a stone skipping across a pond.
At the last skip, it hits with a splash,
Down the stone sinks, gone in a flash.

Pushing and pulling, it's tearing apart,
Poking and prodding an underused heart.
This dark velvet curtain that hides my soul,
Living this life has taken it's toll.

In a flash of bright light, the curtain is torn,
Tumbling down all tattered and worn.
Revealing new life, a child within,
Born free of hate, of suffering and sin.

Now my eyes see what has never been told,
Striving forth happy, confident and bold.
Into a world that's unfamiliar but friendly,
Into this new life my spirit will send me.

Living and laughing, loving it all,
I stood myself up and answered the call.
The darkness has gone, replaced by the light,
I gave up the darkness with hardly a fight.

I've been sitting around this life for years,
With laughter aplenty and hardly a tear.
Now I can see just where it all went,
Cherish every moment of this new life I've spent.

Leaving by Melvin Lee

What a nice and touching poem. I found out from one website and just would like to share with you.

On a day like today,
a young lady arrived
at the airport,
with family
and friends.

Her heart was heavy,
and she was sad.
For she knew the time
has come to leave
this Heaven and
return to the
far lonelyworld
elsewhere.

Unsettling feeling
in her heart,
a kind of longing
to stay back forever.
A kind of familiar loneliness
that she was acquainted with,
comes to her again.

And she sighed,
wistfully, forlornly,
hoping again hope,
to stay in this limbo
of joy and
belonging
forever.
'Oh no, I'm leaving again',
she murmured,
hot tears threatening
to well in her eyes.

Bravely, she forced
a smile at her
loved ones.
Without much of
a second look,
she bid them
farewell.

In the plane,
the girl sat,
with eyes closed,
reliving those
wonderful
and fond
memories
she left behind,

and those sweet voices
and carefree laughter
that accompanied
every single image
that went fleeting pass.

Unconsciously,
a faint smile ghosted at her mouth.

'I'll see them again soon.
Take care, my loved ones,
I'll be back.'

Whispers in the Wind

by YinWayKyal | 1/14/2008 12:27:00 PM in | comments (0)

Your whispers are gentle echoes
that sway ardent winds of harmony
and in the symphony of life
each word is wrapped in rhapsody.

We travel separate roads of life
gather flowers along the way and
share the music of their fragrance.

We exist between two winds,
I here under a pale moon
you, the other end of somewhere.

Sometimes when wind blows through trees
I pause to listen and in its passing
I hear the tenderness of your voice
that fills the spectrum of my soul.

You are the chime of warm rain,
the moon that glows through the trees
and within the luster of evening
your aura fills the scene.

I hear the whispers of the wind
see the stars shine in the sky,
but I hold the sunrise in my pocket.

Dance with me within the wind,
then just let me love you.
