A nice english poem called "The Sound of Lonleynes" by author Lonely Jeremy.
I think the writer intends to mean the word Loneliness.
In the dark I heard a sound
I lay and breathed and looked around
A mouse? A rat? A rustly dress?
But no - was just my lonlyness.
I heard it pushing at the door
I heard it breaking on the floor
It laughed at me and made me cry
And made me wish that I could die.
I hid my head under the duvet
And never breathed or even moved, eh?
I was depressed all through the night
Until the very morning lite
How can ‘alone' make such a sound
When nothing's there, nothing's around?
And what if others hear it too?
And what if the hearing person's you?
